MABA Recognizes Orion Industrial, LLC for its Efforts to Protect the Environment and Reduce Energy Use
EAST LANSING - The Michigan Agri-Business Association has given the 2011 Green Agri-Business Designation to Orion Industrial, LLC., and 15 other Michigan businesses and organizations for outstanding efforts to protect the natural resources, conserve energy and reduce their impact on Michigan's water, land and air.
Okemos-based Orion Industrial manufactures Orion 5000-EL, a synthetic engine and fuel lubricant. Orion 5000-EL typically reduces fuel use 6% to 9% for both diesel and gasoline engines. Orion 5000-EL also extends oil change intervals reducing annual oil use.
Organizations and individuals across North America are using Orion 5000-EL to reduce airborne emissions. When Orion 5000-EL is added to the fuel tank, it allows the fuel to burn more completely (cleaner) reducing hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter and carbon monoxide.
Orion 5000-EL is an environmentally friendly solution to any organization's "green" program. Orion 5000-EL is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable and it's registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
MABA recognized Orion Industrial, LLC and other Michigan businesses for deploying and implementing cutting edge green programs, including aggressive recycling programs to reduce waste and reuse materials; investing in renewable bio-based fuels and energy efficient vehicles and equipment; promoting site-specific agronomy technology and variable rate fertilizer application; recycling and reusing water; developing sustainable, non-toxic products; and deploying energy efficient electric and heating/cooling and other equipment.
